After a lengthy and detailed process, Harford Tech has two new cheerleading coaches. The new varsity coach is Bessie Stansbury. Coach Stansbury has an extensive cheer coaching background, beginning in 1999 with Jarrettsville Recreation program and most recently with the North Harford 18U team. Her enthusiasm and passion for cheerleading will be a great addition to the Harford Tech Athletic Program and as well as a great asset for the squad as they defend their state championship.
The new junior varsity coach is Kelly Wagner. Coach Wagner also has many years’ experience of coaching cheerleading. Like Coach Stansbury, she has coached on the high school level, at park and recreations, as well as All-Stars. Coach Wagner’s many years of experience will be helpful in teaching the younger members of the squad the necessary skills for competitive cheerleading.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped in the search for the next coaching staff at Harford Tech. Your dedication and love for cheerleading is the reason the program has been so successful the past two years. I am fully confident that your same dedication and love, coupled with Coach Stansbury’s and Coach Wagner’s experience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and care will lead to continual success for the Harford Tech Cheerleading Program.
